UA Schola Cantorum landed in Prague

The University of Arkansas "Schola Cantorum" arrived in Prague after an overnight flight from Dallas with a connection in London. The 44 singers under the direction of Dr. Graeme Langager are going to present five formal concerts on their Incantato Performance Tour of Central Europe.

Their concert schedule is as follows:
Prague: Church of St. Nicholas on the Old Town Square - May 22 - 2 pm
Cesky Krumlov: St. Vitus Cathedral, May 23, 7.30 pm
Goettweig: Stiftskirche - May 25 - 3:30 pm
Vienna: Stephansdom - May 26 - noon (Mass and concert)
Budapest: May 28 St. Stephen's Cathedral - 7:30 pm

"There are at least four essential ingredients for a successful and rewarding concert tour for young people and their sponsors —appropriate concert settings, advance publicity, opportunities for learning about the areas visited (including exchanges with the local youth), and good logistical planning. The recent tour of the Akron, Ohio Summit Children's Touring Choir through Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria was successful indeed. The venues were most impressive and beautiful.
