Schola Cantorum sings at Stiftskirche Goettweig
Schola Cantorum's third formal "Awake, my Soul and Sing" concert takes place at the magnificent Stiftskirche Göttweig in lower Austria on May 25 at 3:30 pm. The concert will feature works from European and American composers such as Bach, Purcell, Welkees, Pärt, Bardos and Tavener plus American spirituals.
The Schola concert is one of the cultural highlight events at the prime venue and co-hosted by the monastery and Incantato.
The University of Arkansas' prime choral ensemble under the direction of Dr. Graeme Langager is not only concertizing at the Benedictine Monastery perched high upon a hill between Vienna and Salzburg, but was also offered the opportunity to overnight in the former school dormitories - a wonderful opportunity for the students from Fayetteville, Arkansas.
