Schola Concert in Cesky Krumlov a success
Schola Cantorum's second formal concert was a success for everyone involved. The University of Arkansas' prime choral ensemble performed in the beautiful cathedral of St. Vitus in Cesky Krumlov to a very appreciative international audience of about 100 - locals and fellow travelers from Germany, Austria, Spain and the US.
Conductor Dr. Graeme Langager was very pleased with the performance and complimented his singers and graduate assistants. The students too were amazed by the venue - a late Gothic church right in the heart of town with marvelous accoustics - and the overall experience. "This was the most impressive concert I ever sang", commented Michael and fellow Schola-member Barry added: "I was very much looking forward to singing in Europe and really excited, but what we are experiencing is ten times better than I ever imagined it."
