Audience of over 2000 for Canticum Novum in Santiago de Compostela

What a moving experience for the Sanctuary Touring Choir of Central United Methodist Church in Phoenix, Arizona: Over 2000 people listened to "Canticum Novum" sing in the Cathedral of Santiago di Compostela on May 28, 2008. Being the featured guest choir for High Mass was a very special moment for the ensemble under the direction of Donald E. Morse, but also musically challenging: "The cathedral is huge, we couldn't hear ourselves at all", commented the director after the performance. "But we were told from sitting all the way in the back that we sounded great, so that was nice to hear." Canticum's 2008 Performance Tour to Northern and Southern Spain lead the group from Madrid to Santander, Santiago de Compostela, Toledo, Sevilla and Malaga. Incantato Tours & Concert Management had organized four formal concerts and two high mass participations in those cities, but also included various stops in smaller off-the-beaten path gems of Spain for a true immersion into the local culture.
